Uniting around a cause

Unless you’ve avoided all forms of media for the last 100 days or so, you know the Olympics are going on in Rio right now.

Why the games get many people watching them is because of how each country will unite to cheer on their representatives. They get behind this common cause of patriotism. (You may never have watched water polo before, but if your country is there you’re going to be rooting them on.)

Spin this towards how we look at our businesses. Are we getting people behind a cause? Or are we just saying “look at me?”

Causes like eliminating Alzheimer’s disease and curing blood cancers are causes to get behind.

A 5% discount on your next pair of socks isn’t.
