At any given time, what we do to serve our customers or community can become stagnant. We go back to what has worked in the past and not give a second thought to trying something different.
While this can save us time in the short run, over the long term it bogs down our systems and produces a less than desirable outcome and product. Steve Jobs didn’t try to simply make a better Discman.
And don’t forget about our message. The second part of this issue happens after we produce something new and novel and innovative.
The question then becomes, “How are we going to talk about it?”
As we try to move our businesses forward and serve better, we have to also consider what we’re going to tell people what exactly it is we’re doing and why they should care.
