Taking shape

Some may think that for something to take shape that an individual or group needs to exert some type of force or action on it.

The sculptor starts with a block of marble and chips away until a statue is formed.

This is true, however there’s another side to it.

If we don’t take action, that doesn’t mean that something doesn’t take shape.

If we don’t mow the lawn, the grass will grow taller. If we stop studying for the class, chances are we won’t understand the material and others who did study will gain an advantage.

We can use our energy in the areas that we want to make the most change in, and serve those in the space where we want to see transformation happen.

If we choose not to, something will still take shape. It just might not be exactly what we want.
