How many?

How many shirts does someone need? I guess it depends on a few questions:

What type of shirts are they?

Are they for work, play, other?

How expensive are they?

How much physical space do you have to store them?

Even after we consider all of these though, usually the number is higher than actually needed.

The question that rarely gets asked however, is how much mental space is taken up by having a certain number in the first place? The sheer management of these items causes us to miss out on other parts of our lives. (This doesn’t just go for shirts either.)

Too often we’re cluttered with extra stuff that’s only taking up space in a closet…or in our brain.
